Through the darkness of a starless night a tall shadowy figure rides silently along a long wet road.
His black cloak flaps about him like the wings of a great vampire bat. Christopher Daring looks on from his bedroom window, both intrigue and suspicion forming the seed of a new adventure.
Once accompanied by his best friend Jason, they embark upon a ghostly trail into the unknown. But they soon find themselves fighting for their lives as they become unexpectedly entwined with both the living and the dead.
Upon Jason becoming spiritually trapped and in danger of being lost at the clutches of death itself, Christopher takes up a quest to find a missing Golden Pocket Watch, that should restore balance to the dark forces that surrounds them all.
But the twisted greed of the local ghostly priest and his demonic hound, Satan, have other ideas.
So, with his time running out Christopher must utilise every ounce of his cunning to outmanoeuvre and outsmart the various barriers and mysteries that present themselves.
Invited to stay with his grandfather Charlie over the spring holidays, Christopher, along with his best friend Jason, venture up by train to the beautiful landscapes of Scotland. On their journey they are introduced to Poppy; a pretty, yet resourceful, young girl that both boys clearly misunderstand and underestimate.
But within a tall whispering forest, in the hilly valleys of Scotland, night-time eyes blink in mesmerised wonder at the magical blue spectacle that dance about them in the silence.
As darkness falls and the creatures stir, something else awakens within the hidden depths of the local forest. So enchanting is this mysterious woodland, that it bewitches all that dared to cross its path. As sneaking amongst this glowing blue magic, is a dark and creeping menace. For within this surrounding darkness are the watching eyes of an unknown foe.
Christopher and his friends must unravel the many secrets weaved amongst sacred symbols and enchanting nocturnal lights, that are hidden within this magical forest. For they alone are the key to solving an ancient entrapment of a lost civilisation.
Enemies are closing in. So Christopher, along with his friends, is sent out of the area to stay with Christopher’s eccentric old aunt, Aunt Vassilissa, in a giant, Gothic mansion. But the area is anything but safe. And someone or something, seems to be watching over their every move.
Between them, they have to work out complex clues hidden within a new riddle, to bring Christopher one step closer to finding his missing father and brother. But they soon find that they are not alone in their search of a vitally important and mysterious new object.
Plagued by strange and unusual creatures, which lurk and linger in the darkest corners, a worried Christopher begins to question just what demonic forces could possibly control such twisted souls. Yet when he is introduced to an incredible world of technological possibilities, wonder and hope become his new strength.
As he travels further down the rabbit hole of mystery and suspense, Christopher has to come to terms with who he can really trust. For it appears that this mysterious new object, is only the very beginning of the biggest adventure of his life.
